Remote Construction Estimator
We are looking for a detail-driven and reliable Remote Construction Estimator to support US-based contractors and construction firms. You will perform digital takeoffs, prepare accurate cost estimates, and produce competitive bid proposals that help our clients win profitable jobs. This role requires strong blueprint-reading skills, proficiency with estimating software, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality work under deadline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate digital takeoffs from blueprints, drawings, and construction documents
- Calculate material quantities, labor hours, and equipment requirements for each project
- Prepare detailed, well-formatted cost estimates and competitive bid proposals
- Review project specifications, plans, scopes of work, and contract documents
- Source and verify pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
- Maintain and update unit cost databases, pricing libraries, and estimating templates
- Analyze RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs and prepare clear, timely responses
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and trades on scope clarification and value engineering
- Track bid outcomes and assist with post-bid follow-ups and award documentation
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Construction Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or in a similar role
- Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu, STACK, ProEst, Buildertrend, or similar)
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
- Solid mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standard unit costs
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids simultaneously
Preferred (but not required):
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- Prior experience estimating for US-based residential and/or commercial projects
- Trade-specific expertise (e.g., concrete, framing, drywall, MEP, sitework, roofing)
- Experience working with US contractors, GCs, or design-build firms
Technical Requirements:
- USB Headset with Noise Cancellation feature
- Working Webcam
- Computer with at least 1.8 GHz processor and 4GB RAM (minimum)
- Main Internet Service Speed: at least 25 Mbps (cable connection preferred)
- Backup Internet Service Speed: at least 10 Mbps
